My Guiding Philosophy
MY GUIDING PHILOSOPHY
I’ve spent the last few months or so thinking about the purpose of life as we live it, such an unfathomably small blip in the setting of eternity. I like to think I ended up here having all the context of what I was getting myself into, and still choosing to experience every thought and feeling that comes with being alive. Choosing to drive up and down the freeway singing that song I’ve listened to countless times. Late night conversations at the kitchen table ending in tears and closer connections. The beautiful mundanity of every sunset from a grocery store parking lot, or the way the bed feels warm on a cold winter weekend. The pain and grief of losing the things you love, and the miserable feeling of heartbreak. Seeing all the different cities, mountains, and oceans on this earth & just being human for the first time.
I like to think that I promised to never forget how incredible it is to be a part of this short moment of existence. I like to take photos that remind me of this.
